Well, it might be a tad bit early, but seeing that I will be 36 weeks on Friday AND that we're moving out of our house on the 10th, I decided to pack our hospital bags. :) This kind of stuff sure makes Naomi's arrival seem soon! Tomorrow we enter the month of her due date, though we are geared up to go into August if that's what she wants as well. So excited!

Tired. Busy. Tired.
I had my first blog lapse. :) Just starting to slow down I believe - with about a month to go before Naomi's debut, I find that I'm the happiest just sitting in my new glider, relaxing, and honestly? Not doing anything. Not that I have that luxury. I'm still working, packing up the house, wrapping up this quarter of grad school, and growing Naomi's brain cells. Ha.
Anyway. Blogging took the back seat for a couple of weeks. So here are a few entries to make up for the time...
Gorgeous Girl...
This is our baby. **Insert proud parent faces here.** We had another ultrasound this week to follow up on Naomi's weight. We were amazed to get a 3d shot of her face this far along in the pregnancy. I don't think Grant or I have felt so giddy as we did leaving the office that day. She is so cute! I mean, it is so amazing to see with such accuracy what her little face looks like. I've been staring at her all week - I think she has Grant's mouth and my side of the family's nose/browline. As far as her weight goes, she is 7 pounds now, which projects her to the 9.5-10 range at 40 weeks - but as my midwife said, you just really never know how big or small they'll be until they actually come out. :) I am not worried - I know she will be the perfect weight God intends her to be. Though I had to chuckle when a coworker said she looks grumpy in the picture above - she titled it, "It's crowded in here!"
THREE Years!!!
Grant and I celebrated our THIRD anniversary last Thursday, albeit we were unfortunately in different states for it. :( I had gone to Louisville for a few days for a spiritual retreat of sorts, but on one special day, I received a delivery of flowers from my wonderful husband!
There were balloons attached as well and the sweetest card. Absolutely made my day. It is such a blessing to be married to my best friend - he makes me laugh, keeps life in perspective, and challenges my heart (in good ways:) every day. And I am so grateful about the timing of Naomi's arrival. While we cannot wait to meet her, I know that I will never regret having three full years of just me and Grant. We had such a wonderful season of learning each other's habits, needs, and ironing out the kinks that come with a new marriage. We moved. We got new jobs. We took the trip of a lifetime to Ireland. And now we're going to have a baby. We are lucky beyond words. Can't wait to see what this next year holds in store! Love you, babe!

Holy, Moses!
Some girlfriends and I had a garage sale today. It goes on tomorrow too, though I won't make it since I work at the hospital. But boy do I hope I sell a few more of my things... because I made around $46 this morning, but I spent around $85! Hahahaha! Two of the women in the garage sale were getting rid of ALL of their baby items, with the most incredible deals on little girl stuff. Of course. I mean, have you ever seen cuter little $2 boots?
But the best purchase of the weekend was all for Grant. :) He has wanted a Moses basket for this baby girl so badly for some reason. Lol... we have laughed about it, as they can be quite expensive for a slightly impractical purpose. The one he found he liked the most was $239. Hmmmm. $239 so that an infant can sleep in it maybe five times. I. Don't. Think. So. But FIFTEEN BUCKS AT A GARAGE SALE!?!?!?! Now, I'll go for that! I was SO excited to see this for sale and he loves it. It's even gender-neutral, so if we would be blessed with a boy one day, we might be able to squeeze a bit more use out of it. 55 days and counting, folks!

FIVE
We had another ultrasound of the baby last week. Everything looks great and this girl is large. Go figure, with my Severns' blood. Just the night before the ultrasound, Grant and I were reading in one of our books: "About now, your baby weighs at least 2 pounds 3/4 ounces!" So when the ultrasound tech told us the next day that she weighs FIVE pounds and ONE ounce, I just about came up off the table. Lord, help me - they can be wrong, you know... :)
Here is our sweetie's little profile and below is her hair! The tech said it looks like she has a good amount. You could see it from all angles. The verdict is obviously still out on the color :), but so fun - a girl's gotta have a place for her hairbows! We cannot believe we only have 59 days!!! Woohoo!!!
