Last week, I had the JOY of watching my youngest brother graduate from high school. Will is an incredible young man. He plans to attend Taylor University, a decision he made that had little to do with the fact that his three older siblings are alumni of Taylor. He is an independent, passionate man who has a gift of leadership and charisma. He knows what he wants and he makes a plan to go get it.
I was so proud to watch him walk up to that stage, as I know it's been a long four years in many ways. But his final year as a senior was filled with exciting memories - an incredible football season, a star role as Gaston in the high school musical, and a strong finish with baseball as they compete at State tomorrow.
The four grown adult children of the Severns family... Mom and Dad are just about financially independent of us!
We celebrated as a family this huge accomplishment for Will. And he raked it in at the gift table with a MACbook Pro and all sorts of other goodies. Too bad I ruined the laptop with my drool. Oh, the perks of being the baby in the family... :)
Willamina, we're so proud of you. Can't say it enough. So many people in the world don't get the privilege of the education that is now your own. It's not a small thing. It's a big thing. And no one can ever take it away from you. On to conquer TU!
